About Us

Originally founded by Joan Bucklin in 1981, Bucklin Law Office has served families in central New Hampshire for over 30 years, specializing in family, elder, and probate law. Since 1994, Bucklin Law Office has been managed by Joan’s daughter, Katherine Bucklin Stearns. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire and New England School of Law, Katherine is licensed to practice law in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

An experienced and compassionate lawyer, Katherine is committed to helping families manage their legal issues through every stage of life. As your lawyer, Katherine will explain all aspects of the legal process so you can make important decisions with confidence.

Katherine offers convenient appointment scheduling, a reasonable fee schedule, and unbundled legal services. She takes payments through LawPay and accepts clients through ARAG and Hyatt Legal employer plans.

When she’s not practicing law, Katherine enjoys coaching girls’ lacrosse at Bishop Brady High School and girls’ field hockey at Merrimack Valley Middle School. She is also an official with the New Hampshire Women’s Lacrosse Umpiring Association and New Hampshire’s Field Hockey Umpires Association.
